This guide provides basic information about the different concepts, their definitions and discussion, terms and models related to disability, the human rights view of citizenship and the nation, the legislative process related to disability issues locally and internationally, milestones in the struggle to achieve the rights of people with disabilities in Lebanon, available updated data and statistics, and legal reference materials.

The manual provides trainers with sufficient material in its topics, so that they can prepare training materials based on the demanding rights approach adopted by the LUPD. Each trainer has his or her own method and mechanisms to bring the trainees to the desired competencies of the training, but the goals are the same, and this manual explains them based on the long march of the struggle that the LUPD has gone through during the past four decades.
