Despite the long civil struggle, monitoring the voting process and monitoring violations, the recent parliamentary elections were the most severe violation of rights and the most humiliating and harmful to people with disabilities, and since those concerned always cite the lack of time and the security situation in the country to neglect achieving the minimum level of respect for the dignity of the persons with disability to vote independently, the unified position of the disability demands movement is that elections cannot be democratic and fair without the independent participation of persons with disabilities in a way that preserves their rights and respects their dignity.
This paper presents a proposal that can be applied at the national level after the experience of expatriate voting, by choosing a barrier-free polling center in each electoral district where polling stations are allocated for persons with disabilities. Otherwise, the upcoming elections will only be another version of previous elections in excluding people with disabilities and violating their rights.
