The ninth issue of Diversity in the Workplace Guide was published in November 2009. In the introduction, the article by Sylvana Lakkis, “An Inclusive Policy Approach as a Pathway to Solving the Financial Crisis” The relationship between job adaptation and the profitability of private sector companies. The issue includes articles on the telecommunications sector in Lebanon, a look at blindness, explaining how blind people can stand out in the workplace, and the success story of the International Nylon Recycling Company in adopting a diversity policy.

This issue of the guide was prepared and edited by: Imadeddine Raef and Rasha Nassereddine, with material contributions from Haifa Shheib, Doha Yahfoufi, Zohour Farran, Amal Hamdan, Ola Salama, Mohamed Sabri, Mohamed Khatib, Ziad Majed, Abdelnasser Ghazal, and the Economic and Social Inclusion Project team in Beirut, Bekaa, and the South.
