Two federal celebrations of International Women’s Day

As part of the International Women’s Day celebrations, the Lebanese Federation for Persons with Motor Disabilities organized two activities to commemorate this occasion, on March 14 and 16, in the Bralias and Baalbek branches. The two activities targeted 58 women with disabilities and mothers of children with disabilities (37 women in the Pralias branch and 21 women in the Baalbek branch).

During the two celebrations, the women participated in four different activities, including sports, handicrafts, skin care, and group therapy sessions, and the event concluded with a cocktail party.

Women and girls with disabilities are one of the most marginalized social groups, especially in rural communities. Through this activity, the Union team was able to provide an atmosphere of psychological comfort for the women, as well as a safe space to express the pressures and challenges facing the women, who are trying to get support on their own and collectively.
