On July 12, 2017, the Lebanese Wheelchair Union launched the practical steps towards inclusive tourism in Baalbek, as part of the “Tourism for All” project, funded by the European Union and managed by the Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Development Affairs, in the presence of the mayor of Baalbek, Hussein El-Lakkis, represented by the head of the Tourism Committee in the Municipal Council. Mohammed Awada, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Baalbek Governmental Hospital Dr. Hassan Yahfoufi, President of Baalbek Center for Care and Development Marcelle Sukkariyeh, representative of “Jihad Al-Binaa” Development Association Engineer Hassan Samaha, President of the Syndicate of Plastic Artists and Craftsmen in Bekaa Amer Hajj Hassan, representative of the Lebanese Association for Studies and Training Ghada Raad and social and economic dignitaries.
