The Embassy’s Political Section aims to promote bilateral political relations between the UK and Lebanon and works closely with the Lebanese government to deal with international issues. This section of the Embassy is also interested in development and cooperation projects between UK and Lebanese partners.

UK Trade and Investment promotes trade and investment in Lebanon, providing a wide range of services for British as well as Lebanese businesses.

The Media and Public Diplomacy Department provides journalists and members of the general public with information about the UK-Lebanon bilateral relationship and more broadly about UK foreign policy issues in the region and the wider world. We regularly provide the media with information on a wide range of issues through press releases and other media outlets.

The Consular Section provides consular services to British citizens in Lebanon. It issues British passports and registers births and deaths of British citizens in Lebanon.

The Visa Section issues over 8,000 visas a year to foreign nationals who wish to travel to the UK. It provides advice on all immigration requirements to the UK.

The Defense Division is responsible for aspects of the UK-Lebanon defense relationship, including defense sales, mutual training agreements, and defense diplomacy.
